Ego-Boosts
My Girl Genius bump. It is a very tiny mention on a sign in the first panel which nevertheless made me run around the house squeeing like a mad squeeing thing. Yeah. Fangirl.Murdoch gets a cameo in Between Places. This also made me happy: it's a lovely comic with a pleasantly twisty plot and dreamlike art.
ArtPatient reviewed the comic, and liked it about as well as I could have expected (admired the worldbuilding, turned off by the art. I suspect this will be a theme.)
Another review from Ping of Lonely Panel, equally unenthused about the art but massively helpful as to why and what can be done to help. This review is probably the best thing to happen to the comic's art to date. Thank you, Ping!
Tangents Online found himself willing to overlook the art because he so much liked having a sci-fi setting not entirely populated by starship pilots and supergeniuses, which pleased me. It's always nice to have someone notice which trope you're poking with a sharp stick. (He says some smart things about the Uncanny Valley, too).
