As there was some discussion of my schedule habits in the comments last time, and I keep waving work at people like a white flag, I thought I should explain a little better. I work for my family's business, a small dairy with an on-farm cheesemaking operation. There are a ton of perks to this job, not least of which being that I love it; but one of the not-perks is that even in a massive recession you won't find many people willing and/or able to work on a farm. So we have a constant struggle to get enough help, and when we're short, well, family steps up first. We're not too badly off right now -- I don't usually have to work more than nine hours a day, or more than six days a week -- but when you add in that it's a pretty physical job, and I don't get to sneak in creative work on my lunch or coffee breaks the way some seem to, and I have this one-year-old, and -- well, yeah. I am doing pretty good staying on schedule, I think, but when I'm late with a page please just reference the above paragraph.
(Which is not to say anyone complained -- people are being quite kind! -- but, well, I thought you deserved a bit more infomation for your patience. Thanks, guys.)
