June 28, 2016

So, there I was, two months on, and I looked at the calendar and said 'oh, shit....'

Yeah, sorry guys. I knew I was going to take a bit of a break when I finally managed to wrap the storyline, but I a) completely failed to communicate this and b) never expected it to be this long.

The good news is I have been working on the comic -- actually, I've been working on it quite a lot. I not only have 11 scripts written up with another two in various stages of scribble; I have actually, in a desperate bid to get a buffer against the attacks of life insanity, completed two full pages and hope to have a third done by the end of the week. I'm going to post them once a week beginning next Tuesday, and cross my fingers that I really can keep on top of the schedule I've worked out through June.*

And by coincidence, the page I will post next Tuesday will be my 500th, which is the ostensible reason for the big-ass picture above. That, and once I had the idea, my brain would not shut up about it until I got it done.**

While you're waiting: have I mentioned before the fabulous spies-and-anarchy-and-suicidal-pets sci-fi comic Kismet: Hunter's Moon? If not, consider it mentioned as one of my favorite finished comics -- and ten years after finishing, it's being brought into print! The Kickstarter's only running for another week or so, though, so check it out quickly.

See you next week, guys. Thank you for your patience.

* Of course, my keyboard just up and died, which may put a slight kink in the plan, but then again I have Amazon Prime, and in the meantime, my husband's keyboard. At least until he gets out of the shower and realizes I nicked it.
** This is how maybe 50% of my creative work happens. The other 50% is a mix of bribery, blackmail, and occasionally taking my hindbrain out back with a baseball bat.
