West: Who else would I bring?
Talia: Perhaps someone more... practical? Dear Vicky does her best, but that family... well. They are not exactly flush with cash, West darling. They'd have a hard time supporting your lifestyle.
West: My future wife's family need not concern themselves with supporting me.
Talia: Well, dear, I can't do it forever.

DOI: Department of Investigation. New Ozark's equivalent to the FBI.
This is a short scene, only two pages, and it has taken me a ludicrous amount of time to finish because Stuff, but I'm actually supposed to be home for all of October instead of running around on trips and I'm really, really hoping to get some pages done in a reasonable timeframe. Thank you guys for your patience!

This is complicated by eldritch abominations, a genocidal dictator, the dictator's wife, and a panic-induced exit from the last known bastion of civilization.
