Twoshot: What? Noplace!
Vern: All night? With you phone off? ... you dumb fuck. Again?
Twoshot: I ain't --
Vern: We sell the shit, Twoshot. We don't use it. Rafe gonna have you hide.
Twoshot: Well if Rafe weren't slammin round shoutin' bout this guy cheated him or that guy shorted him or dam' girl can't show up when she supposed to or answer a dam' phone -- I ain't usin'! Not really. Just -- just every now and then, I need the quiet.
Vern: Hope you filled up on quiet then. Ellie never come home.
Twoshot: ... she didn't?
Vern: She got snatched, conne (idiot). Lafayette, he already call. Wants a meetin' at nine.
Twoshot: Nine? Like, this morning?
Vern: No, nine some other day! Get you head on, will you?
Twoshot: A kidnapper and a morning person?
Vern: I'm sure the saints savin' a hell just for him.

I am so not used to uploading comics on time any more! Screwed things up right and left. Here's the news post that somehow got lost:
We're actually jumping back in time a month or so, because I wanted the Little Green storyline to actually finish. This strip chronologically occurs the day after Ria's rescue from the Greenwharves. Ellen has been missing about twenty-four hours. This probably doesn't interest/annoy anyone else as much as it does me, but anyway. Now you know.
As another memory aid -- tetes d'rue are often called by their streets' name, as a sort of title. So Lafayette is Darwin; Asbury is Rafe; and Sullivan is Murdoch. Yes, I'm sure I could make that more complicated if I tried. Don't tempt me.
