Lena: Oh! I don't drink at things like these, it only makes them worse, but thank you. That's the kindest thing anyone's said to me all night.

Lena: It's certainly the first time I've felt anything but out of place and awkward --
Damon: For God's sake, Claude, will you stop hitting on the wallflowers and talk to someone useful?
Lena: Aaaand there's the awkward back.

Hopefully this joke stands on its own, but for additional awkwardness you can look at this page.
For anyone wondering about the recent radio silence -- we lost an intern at work and are about to lose another, and due to visa issues we aren't getting replacements until August. I was already working 45 hours a week. My schedule for the next while looks like 'eat, work, do comic, sleep', and while I'll try and get stuff like answering emails and comments in there, some nights I just don't have the brain power. Rest assured I am still reading and being made happy by them. *grin*
