Okay, the missing Friday comic is up. Monday's comic should be up by Tuesday, Wednesday's I hope on Wednesday, and my husband, sweetheart that he is, has admitted that he secretly bought me a new computer which should arrive sometime next week. I'm hoping that a quad-core processor with eight times the memory will help with all the crashing.
(This is not as impulsive as it sounds -- I do all my work on a relatively modern laptop, but my desktop is ten years old and, while sound, not so much on the speed; we'd been discussing for over a year just what, given my bent for Macintoshes, we could afford to replace it with. But still a very happy surprise.)
